FAQs
How does laser hair removal work?
The laser machine emits light that is absorbed by the pigment in the hair. This energy converts to heat, which damages the follicle while leaving the surrounding skin unharmed.
Is getting laser hair removal safe?
Yes! When performed by a trained professional with approved devices, it is considered safe. Temporary redness or sensitivity is common but usually subsides quickly.
Who is a good candidate for laser hair removal?
Most people with unwanted hair are candidates. Results may vary depending on skin tone, hair color, and hair thickness.
Darker hair on lighter skin responds best, though our SplendorX machine has made it safer and more effective for a wider range of skin types.
That being said, blonde, grey, red, or very light hair may not respond as effectively because they lack pigment for the laser to target.

What areas of the body can be treated?
Almost any area with unwanted hair can be treated, including the face, legs, arms, underarms, bikini line, back, and chest.
Basically, if it can be waxed, it can be lasered (minus the brows).
How many laser sessions will I need?
Most clients need 6–8 sessions, spaced about 4–6 weeks apart, to achieve long-lasting results. Maintenance sessions may be recommended once or twice a year, which is why our packages include a touch up!
Is laser hair removal painful?
Most people describe the sensation as a quick snap, similar to a rubber band against the skin. The SplendorX machine includes cooling technology to make treatments more comfortable.
How can I prepare for my laser appointment?
You can do the following to prepare:
- Shave the treatment area 24 hours before your session
- Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanners
- Do not wax, pluck, or use depilatory creams for at least 4 weeks beforehand
- Arrive with clean, product-free skin
What should I avoid after the laser appointment?
Avoid sun exposure, hot baths, saunas, or vigorous exercise for 24–48 hours. Always wear sunscreen on treated areas if exposed to sunlight.
Are there any side effects?
Temporary redness, swelling, or mild sensitivity are common and typically resolve within a few hours to a couple of days.
Blistering, burns, or pigment changes are rare when performed by trained professionals.
When will I see results?
You may notice hair shedding within 1–2 weeks after treatment. Visible reduction occurs gradually over multiple sessions.
Hair grows in cycles, which is why you need multiple sessions. This treatment is about consistency.
Can I get laser hair removal while pregnant?
It is not recommended, as there is limited research on the safety of laser treatments during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Please consult a doctor.
Will laser hair removal affect my tattoos/moles?
Laser treatments should not be performed directly over tattoos, as it can alter the ink. we make sure to avoid all tattoos during the laser appointment. Extra care is taken around moles to avoid irritation.
